I happened across a neat piece of Ironwood burl at the wood store last week, it had Bowie written all over it. Actually this is my first time using this wood and it is nice! Gives a deep smooth finish.
Thought I would share the results, although the crummy pics don't really show the results.
Made from 1/4" 5160, double quenched, cryo'd, Satin finish with a visible temper line, 416 fittings Ironwood burl Handle. Blade is 7 3/4" tip to guard 13" OAL. Ironwood balanced this blade out and it feels light
