Like many of you, I couldn't help but notice AA Forge. Now that I have finally gotten my hands on one, I understand what the fuss is all about. :)

Although this particular model does not have any contouring to the handle, it does feel really good. The ergonomics are done well with evidence of plenty of thought. The ironwood is sanded and polished beautifully. The grinds are exceptional. This may be the sharpest knife I have ever received. I have a trip coming up soon and I hope to do some basic carving. I'll post up more pics as I have them.

I predict this thread will sell a lot of those knives.

That is quite a handsome knife.

KNICE Knife Schmittie! CONGRAT's!!!

Thank you schmittie for the post! I'm glad to see you like the knife!

Thank you for all the kind words guys!

Playing around with my scandi. We'll call this 'indoor bushcraftin'

The temp here in IL ha been gettin into the 30's at night, even down into the low 20's for a few nights. It is time to get the fireplace rollin. To start, here is what I'm working with tonight. Some split kindling (old 2x4s split down, don't be wasteful gentlemen ;) ), some twigs, my new Ironwood Bushcraft knife, and my old, traditional fire kit.

I split some of the kindling down further.

And made some feather sticks. Piece of cake! This knife is SHARP!!!

For ignition, I used my flint and steel and homemade char cloth. Some jute twine is there as well.

In no time, I caught a spark!

Added this into my jute twine 'nest' and blew it into a flame.

Then added my feather sticks and kindling. We have fire!

I am loving this knife! Thanks again Adam.

Adam is an amazing craftsman, this is a beautiful knife. Looks like your putting it to use! Great pictures!

I think I am going to make a firesteel to go with my knife. What do you guys think? Should I go with ironwood to match it or go more traditional and use deer antler?

Trying to find a perfect maych in woods is tough. I think Antler would compliment the knife knicely!

Made a sheath so now I have two carry options. This one also holds a DC3 stone and antler firesteel.
