Been working on and off with this knife over the last couple weeks. I actually got the sheath done first and then finished the knife so that worked out pretty good. This knife has a 8" W-2 blade, the guard is made from a small iron buggy wheel and the other fittings are wagon wheel wrought iron. Desert ironwood handle. 13" overall.

Looking good Big Boy. I have got to try and find some decent wrought. If you can find wagon wheels around here, folks think they are made of gold.

Thanks for letting us have a look. Take care.

that knife has kind of a 'euro ninja' look to it.
looks like a butterfly sword owned by a pirate.
Way cool, and outta da box!

Very nice Ray. You make it look so effortless, kind of a relaxed clean look but it's so very well constructed. Perfect curves and flow.
That sheath is really great too.

Ray, I always go to your post first, love your work! Great knife.

The sheath is most interesting, is it wood lined, and what weight leather did you use? It reminds me of a Moran sheath!

Steve, This sheath has no wood liner although it is made from two thin pieces of leather. It has a inner sheath that was submerged in thinned down shellac and then formed to the blade. After that dries out I'll cover it with another thin layer of leather that is cemented to it. The rest is top secret. :D

Great blade! Is it for a customer or is it going to Boise? Cause I'd like to swing that bad boy around a bit.:D:thumbup:
