Ironwood Sources

I hope this is the right forum to post this request in.

I am looking for some ironwood sources that don't break the bank. Anyone have any that they care to share?

You may want to try the shoptalk forum for more/better responses, but you can try Texas Knife Supply or Hardwoods of Yuma. Don't know about the prices at TKS because you have to call for pricing and availability. You can also look at KnifeScales.com.

Post this in the Shop Talk Forum and you'll get mucho responses from the makers there. I usually get all the Ironwood I use from The Guild Show when it comes to Orlando. If I need more, I get it from Sheffield's.

Have you checked out www.alphaknifesupply.com ? If they don't have quite what you're looking for on their site, give them a call, 'cause they're always getting new stuff in. Very friendly and good people to deal with. Tell Chuck I sent ya!

Yup, they've sure got a lot of really nice woods, and other knifemaking materials. I just picked up a rayskin knife pouch from them (one of the items not quite yet on their website).

Thanks again. Definitely alot of resources many of them new to me. The internet is an amayzing creature!

I haven't seen Jeff's new catalogue yet, speaking with him last week he tells me it's on the way, can't wait to see it!
