You surely know the awkward state between the dream and awakeness in the morning, when you are still part of both worlds but you aren't present neither of them really. The vivid dreams of the night are still very much alive, only in a different, alternative and more close perspective. You can almost reach out and touch whatever your mind nobly presents you with, often your most wanted, deepest secrets, but in the moment of contact the believed truth starts to tremble and shiver and in a fraction of a second fades away into oblivion, leaving you empty handed.
No matter, how hard you hang on to the last thread of sweet, sacred memory and try to reenter the realm of dreams, to live through the marvel just once more, the cruel wakefulness hinders your effort and anchors you to this inornate reality.
The tube pin in this freshly finished knife is stuffed with rock hard epoxi, and if you hold it against the sun, the unique structure of it transforms light, refract it into amber-like shades comparable to the contemplative half-awakened state of the morn.
Ironically my camera can not catch this, the very best part of the knife.
The total length is 24 cm. the blade is 12 cm long, 37 mm wide and 5 mm thick.
Its handle is made of antler and oak with iron fittings.
