Come on freedom loving Americans, get off your butts(figuratively of course) and start emailing your senators and raise hell with em about this bill!!! Johnny Stout sent this email out to the knifelist and I think everyone should read it and check out the web site and the bill.

$50 tax on every handgun that you own and/or try to sell.

Before we all get too excited, the bill was introduced on 2/24/00, referred to committee on 2/24/00, and has shown no further progress.

Several threads on this over at thefiringline.com. DOA in committee. Best we can do now is let the Committee chair & members know that (1) good job and (2)you want this thing to stay dead. Mass mailing all reps would be counter-productive.
