Is 500 pieces the official run for the Blue Manix 2?

It seems the only source I can find for this number are the subtitles of eBay auctions (and we know how honest those are) and posts on this forum. Can anyone cite 500 as the official number?

offhand, I know in nutnfancy's review vid the designer, Eric Glesser, says that it's limited to 500 pieces.

yes Eric himself says only 500 will be made

yeah. at about the 26 minute mark of the vid the interview with eric glesser starts. he offers a lot of great insight into his design. great review vid and make me want one so bad. why did they pick a time when I don't have any money to release it?!
