I want to replace my Masters Of Defense CQB because the seat belt cutter digs into my leg when I'm in the car. I'm looking at the CQC7b tanto blade knife. I won't use it for everyday chores but possibly to cut hanging victims down or maybee a seatbelt loose. Can the se knives be sharpened on a sharpmaker? are they comfortable in a pocket all day? Is there a better choice?
Thanks ERic

Hi Eric- get the 7, you wont be sorry! This knife is not a tactical legend with out reason. Carries very well, you'll forget you have it. For EMS/police work, I would advise getting one with the "wave" feature- without a doubt the fastest opening knife in the world; even faster than an auto! I sharpen my serrations on a Sharpmaker all the time, but it takes practice. For $10.00, Emerson will referb any knife for you- hard to beat. In actuality, for cutting seat belts, rope, etc. I pefer the plain edge- the chisel grind goes thru like butter. There is a lot of info on the CQC7 over on the USN forums. You should stop in and take a look see.

It's the Usual Suspect Network. A place to hang if you like Emerson's, Striders, etc. It is a great place.

Yester5, I know you're just being enthusiastic but both forums have asked more than once that we not link either one from the other. Please edit out your link. Thanks.
