Is A.T.R. ambi-friendly?

In the catalog, the ATR had a reversible pocket clip, but I recently saw an artistic depiction that didn't have clip holes drilled in the left-hand side of the scales. Will it be right-hand carry only, or the reversible clip?

Many thanks

At this time I'd bet that Spyderco hasn't decided yet - the knife is still in engineering and there isn't a real production prototype yet AFAIK.

Dear Spyderco engineers:

Please make the clip ambidextrous. I'm already going to buy the Chinook II and the Dodo, but, like every lefty and most every Spyderknut, I really want an A.T.R. that can be clipped to my front left pocket. You like solving complex problems and I like buying knives from that place for which you work. Pretty please?

Greetings everybody!

I cannot speak for the engineer-types here.. but the prototype ATR is visiting me this morning and is on my desk. It has an 3-screw ambi clip that fits around the lanyard hole, positioning the knife for tip-up carry.

We don't have a set delivery date yet sorry. We're still working on manufacturing questions. I'll post it here the minute I know.

Thanks Joyce!

I'll pretend to be patient as long as I know I'll be able to eventually get one.

Thanks again,

Thom
