Or is CR's blend better than what you can get at the hardware store?
Thanks!

Honestly, I'm not sure it matters ... knife pivots are not a demanding application at all.

And also, I don't know which fluorinated grease is best. CRK's is fine, pretty thin, good stuff. The Tetra fluorinated grease they sell in sporting goods and guns shops is certainly good stuff also.

The nifty thing about CRK's is the little applicator/syringe thing they sell it it. The top nozzle rotates 90 degrees, to turn it on or off. Great since if you remember to turn it "off" it doesn't leak. And the needle nosed applicator works well.

I don't know if CR's grease is any better than the others, but I have some and use it on my small Sebbie and it really works good. I look forward to taking the knife apart when it needs cleaning because after you clean it real good and lube it up with that grease its just so smooooooth. :D

I've been using Militec on my Sebenza with very good results. I had purchased it for use in lubing my guns but it works great for knives. It actually penetrates into the pores ofthe metal so that even if you wipe it off, the lubricating properties remain. this is good for a folder because it won't attract as much dirt.
