Has Spyderco concluded the Mule program?Any news on the next knife?

From the factory forum on 01/01:

"We're getting close. Assuming everything makes it through QC, probably within the*next*month.

sal"

No official word on the steel yet afaik.

They should be in QC this week and next. Probably won't be out until after SHOT show.

Well you did say SHOT show.

Inherent trigger finger.

Mule team FTW.

Thanks Sal

If I had to guess, I'd say it's going to be either CPM 4V or CTS-204P. Back in September Sal mentioned they had received enough 4V for a Mule run and I am hoping it's that!

From what I remember reading on the Spyderco forum, CTS-204P was likely to get passed on for awhile in lieu of some others they had in line. CPM-4V was one, and I think S110V was another.

Whichever it is I'm down for it. :)

Will you announce when they are ready to be purchased??
Not sure about here, but Kristi always puts up a sticky on the Spyderco Factory forum a few days before the "go live" date saying exactly when it will go on sale, the knife's specs, cost, and ordering restrictions, if any.

Hey,

I went to Spyderco's website and could not find any information. Any updates on when It is coming out because its about time I get a mule.

Thanks,

Alec

If it's S110V, you'd better not blink! The K390 Mules sold out quick. Super steel indeed!

If it's 4V, I'm especially interested. I love my 3V knives and from what I've read, 4V gives up just a bit of toughness (which 3V has tons of) and gives back some edge retention. It oughta be a fantastic material for knife blades, especially in smaller knives where 3V is considered overkill.

You won't be disappointed. I haven't used 4v, but I have a custom from Fred Haakonsen, made with Vanadis 4E at 66hrc, which is almost identical to CPM 4v - Vanadis 4E vs. CPM 4V composition comparison. Performance is just superb.
