is any silicone cloth better than nothing??

is any silicone cloth (kleen bore) better than nothing. should i just wipe my blades (all stainless) down with break free or use flitz...mainly for corrosion protection...cant find tuff cloth here in town

Those silicone cloths are OK. There's a gun shop here in town that sells them with their logo on them really cheap.

Breakfree is one of the best things there is for rust protection.

I wouldn't use flitz.

I wrap my guns in silicon cloths that are sort of a gray color and store them in heavy duty plastic bags in their hard gun cases for storage between seasons. This seems to work very well and doesn't harm the stocks. For knives I give them a Breakfree CLP lube and wipe everything off very well. Then I store them in their small plastic bags or in ziplock sandwich bags. I have never had any corrosion problems even with the tool steel blades. I usually store them in the basement which is cool and probably more important, dry.
