Every single retailer with AUS8 knives is pissed off right about now?

Seriously, for the slight increase, I have ZERO interest in any knife they currently produce that isn't cts-xhp... A Recon1 in cts-xhp?... That's like cheating... Under $100.00???... Well done cold steel.

No need to be pissed. All they have to do is hold onto their remaining inventory of CS stuff in AUS-8 and sell it a year from now, once supply has dried up. :D They'll probably be able to get more for them at that point than they could have back before the new steels were announced.

steel up grades does effect knife sales
but i suspect only with a small segment of customers who actually know their steel
and hold back purchases.
so let's wait and see for price drops at the clearance bins...

"Slight" increase? The price difference for the new steel is very substantial for many models in my opinion. So I doubt if retailers are that pissed off as buyers who like Cold Steel knives, and understand that the obsession with fancier steels is an absurd chimera, will be able to continue to buy aus 8 knives at a good price for at least a while longer.
