After a 140 mile drive, I arrived at the show at about 10:00 Saturday morning. The "crowd", if you can call it that was very light. The ticket seller commented that he was glad to see me because he was about to fall asleep. The dealers I talked to said all three days had pretty light traffic. That's too bad because it was a very good show. Some of the dealers were already packing up, but there were still enough knives on display to set your head spinning! All of the dealers I talked to were really super friendly and seemed very happy to be talking about knives. One fellow who had mostly customs for sale seemed giddy to find someone who was interested in customs and was familiar with the makers. I thought he would never let me go! Seriously though that kind of enthusiasm is great.
I hope the dealers were happy in the end and will return. I know I'll be back!
As knife enthusiasts I think we should all do our best to attend and support these shows whenever possible. The opportunity to talk knives with these great dealers and handle such a variety of goodies is invaluable. What better way to spend a few hours! Beats mowing the lawn!
Sorry I don't have pictures from the show, the excitement kind of makes you forget!
Here are my purchases from the show......
A Schatt & Morgan dealer was very helpful to me in this purchase. He even noticed a very slight imperfection in one of the handles and looked for a perfect knife for me instead. You would be hard pressed to find better people to do business with IMHO!

And an autographed by the authors (David Krauss and David Clark) copy of The History of Dollar Knives.
I think these two kind fellows were surprised by request for their autographs. But hey, who doesn't want to feel like a celebrity!
