Is anyone making and sell handles

The trouble is that much effort goes into making a handle. When someone makes one by hand there is more value in it than the retail market would endure. Without a copy lathe they're just too expensive to make. You make a handle for personal pride or because you want something that isn't available for sale.

....who was the guy that someone posted a video of not that long ago? He had a recently acquired a big gnarly cut on his hand. That guy was making some unique handles for retail sale!

+1 to that! Not even counting the time spent harvesting and drying I end up spending between 4-6 hours making a custom haft. Really you'd need a whole bank of copy lathes to make any dough. I do like the fact that Link and Ames(HD) makes such thick handles and you can thin em down.
Bare minimum it'd cost $180 ($30/hr) for me to make a custom haft for someone. Who's gonna pay that???

I was thinking $200 at a minimum. And even then I'd hate to give one up.

This is about what it would take for me to be motivated at this point. AND I was barely moving any even selling them for 50 dollars. I would rather give one away at that point, to someone who I knew would appreciate it and keep in touch.

long time no post, I know. I still lurk on occasion...
