I heard a rumor that buck was going to start making the 120 general again. is that true?

I think the 120 is interesting, but would have limited appeal. However, with the current bushcrafter craze I think there'd be a strong market for the 124 right now. Plus I need one to round out my collection. :)

The 120 was dropped from normal production years ago. Until recently they continued to make a few for Cabela's to offer as special "Cabela's Marked" items.

It's no longer on the Cabela's website.....maybe they gave up on it.

Buck has made several small and very limited runs of the 120 over the years for a few retailers who wanted to be able to offer them as a "discontinued" model to spur sales. Sort of dishonest, but they usually sold at fairly reasonable prices, so I guess nobody got hurt.

Will Buck bring it back? Probably not, other than a few special projects.

Not much of a market.

The "Bushcrazies" want a bigger knife and the average guy wants a smaller knife.

I have never been in the wilderness, and said "Man,.... I wish this knife was smaller...."
However, I have said the exact opposite once or twice.

I always go with the bigger knife, but that's just me.

I would love to have another 120. I miss my old one.

I was on BUCKs website yesterday and under the tab "Special Projects" the had a 120 listed.

Dave, Thats the one I was refering to--- only 2 pages back. But don't muddy the water with the facts. HEck, I'll talk 120's some more. Guys have 120's produced This Year. DM

Hey, don't let the fact that regular production has stopped bother you.......they're easy enough to get. They even made a new special project in 2011 if you don't mind billboard blades.

If not that, the ill-famed auction sites are full of them, with about forty years to select from.

You could even have a collection!

:)

I would like getting another General,it was the 2nd Buck I bought after the 110.Sadly,I don't have the 120 anymore.

.... the report of my death was an exaggeration.
