Is Civivi Altus a gravity knife since it had thumb studs?

"Gravity knife" is both a type of knife and a legal definition. The legal definition is what matters most. How the law defines a "gravity knife" can vary from state to state, and possibly from one city or county to the next.

Here in California the Civivi Altus does not meet the definition of a "gravity knife", in fact the California gravity knife law specifically exempts the design and characteristics of the Altus. But that's California.
