Hi guys, I'm interested in hawk clip because the original clip is not strong enough, too easy fall out if I run or do any big movement, I know the hawk clip is the one of the strongest clip but also hard to disengage, some people sold it just because can't disengage easily, so I confuse should I spend $ 50 plus shipping cost for the clip or not.
Maybe I should concern the kydex?

Do you wear a belt? Consider the belt sheath. It's fantastic.

You can also bend the original clip to give it more tension.

Order directly from the site. They’re a fun alternative, pinch the knife very securely to your pocket and add a small but noticeable length for grip purchase. I prefer the aesthetics of the very original clip but I’ve also found the 21 too loose at times.

I've never had any issues with the hawk clip ... I only have one on a Umnumzaan ... but it works great ... but I can't say I ever had any issues with the stock CRK clips ... I just got the hawk clip in a package deal and tried it.

If retention in the pocket is your goal, then I think it’s worth it, for the peace of mind. Sure it takes a little extra effort to clip it into the pockets of heavier work pants, but removing it from the pocket when you want to is not a problem. Plus, if you decide it’s not for you, I’m sure you could recoup most of your money on the exchange. :)

I don't find the hawk clip hard to operate at all ... give CRK a call they will let you know an approximate time or they may even have a few that's how I got my last one.

Good idea. I shot them an email last weekend, so I'll follow up in a few days if I don't hear back.

I just picked up two on the CRK website. After debating with myself, I chose to keep the Hark clips for good. I had no issues with the traditional stock clip. Since CRK offers these as an official upgrade, and they are also made in Idaho, they are a sanctioned alternative. The performance is that it's secure in the pocket, but easily released by depressing the clip head--less pocket wear. Also, the grip of the knife when deployed is much more comfortable than the stock clip. The downside: They are not for free.

I've changed all my CRKs over to Hawk clips. I mainly got them to preserve my pants--the stock clips were just destroying the pocket rim on all my jeans, but I also like that my expensive knife is held very firmly in place until it's needed. The spring clamp style design and low profile tip greatly reduces the chances of snagging the clip on something and pulling the knife out of my pocket. I don't find them any harder or slower to use, it just takes a little while to get used to the slightly different technique required.
