Is Enuff. Enuff?

For my use 2.75" would be fine. I'd like to have one for my rope work which is with material in the neighborhood of 3/4" or so... a 2.75" blade is more than Enuff!

For a fixed blade, I would have liked it alittle longer like 3 1/2 or maybe 4 inches blade and in a plain edge yellow handle.

I really like the overall design, except they made them way too thick. unfortunately the current generation of "thicker is better, despite all the evidence to the contrary" knife users has swayed this design. unlike the Deacon, I think 2mm blade thickness would be perfect (his 1mm idea is a bit too thin, IMO). at 4mm it's bordering on the ridiculous.

I wouldn't call 5/32" ridiculous for a small fixed blade. I like thin knives that cut well too. Apparently the Enuff wasn't designed to be a pure slicer but rather an all-around knife that can be used roughly.

I'll take an all around knife that can be used roughly in 2mm thickness over 4mm any day ;) 4mm is definitely overkill for a sub 3 inch knife.

but your response just proves my point about modern knife users who somehow think somewhat thin knives can only be relegated as "slicers" and can't possibly be used for hard use utility.

I would have settled for 3mm, which would have put it into the too thick, but usable category. and I don't think it would have been too thin to scare away the backyard bushcraft, baton everything, YouTube generation knife user.

LOL! I like that.

Does anyone know the blade thickness on an Opinel? I've got a #7 that has done tons of wood carving and I've not been dainty with it at all, and even the tip, which makes a paramilitary 2 look like a prybar, has held up totally fine.

I definitely agree that we need thinner grinds from Spyderco.

Thanx for the input. The thicker blade was my call. I wanted a small outdoor knife that could take fairly hard use. 2mm full flat grinds are more easily broken/bent. We'll hide-n-watch. We can always make thinner versions, but I question their serving the harder tasks.

Is there going to be a plain edge yellow version coming out?

Its a fine knife and my all serrated version of this fixed is in my truck as my user beater upper for the console. I love the knife! Wish it stayed in the sheath more securely tho. I can't say it holds really well like some of the other models similar to this. The little Gerber/Fiskars River knife for example stays put and can be carried on a belt upside down, side ways or whatever. Same with some of the Cold Steel fixed with kydex or molded sheaths of this type. If there is an area for improvement in this model I see it in the carry system for retention where it could be increased just a bit more to be enough to trust even putting it on your belt handle down if you wanted. Other wise I love the model.

I'm thinking about using them as skinning type knives/field craft. I think withthat thick blade, they will be pretty decent, for medium use. Not stupid heavy field work, just stuff you need a knife for.

Good call Sal on the 4mm!

Have you guys ever thought of making a knife like this, that is seriously heavy duty? Something for some heavy field work? Keep the same steel, same black handles, but thicker, wider, longer blades. Keep em priced decently, and I'll bet they would sell like hell.

Based on the looks I think it will be an excellent dive knife and I'm tempted.

I do have concerns with the sheath tightness & how there are reviews stating the sheath may come into contact edge. Are these issues resolved?
Additionally, any chance we will see a H1 in say a drop point?

P.S. I love to see another run of H1 Aquas... I just WISH spyderco still make these.
