Is Gerber's service department good or bad?

Is Gerber's service department good or bad? What is their turn around time? I would like to hear your experiences.

I sent in my Gerber Multi-Plier 600 Needlenose (Product Number 7530) to Gerber's service department 2 weeks ago because a few problems developed through normal use. The needle nose plier is very difficult to unlock and push down. There is a fracture on the metal frame of the multiplier. There is up and down play around the pivot pin. The serrations on the serrated blade wore down.

I sent a Multi Plier to them a couple of years ago. About 2 weeks later they sent me a new one. Then they sent me another. And then a third. IIRC, they gave me some drink coasters or similar for sending the 2 extras back.
 
Yes, turn around time was 2 weeks. I highly recommend Gerber. They stand by their product and their service is exceptional.

Same here. I'm not a fan of their products, but when my Gerber Legend broke, they sent me a new one within a few weeks.

I once broke a Gerber LST by doing something out and out dumb. I sent it in with a note asking how much to fix it and they sent me a new one!

Only other folks like that is Buck and Victorinox.
 
I sent in my wife's EZ OUT JR for warranty and 2 weeks or so later a new one showed up. No problem here.
