Asking because none anywhere. Only see spanto now and I really want a stonewashed slicer and hoping they make them again someday. If they are not, then maybe, just maybe I will give spanto a shot. If they are, even a year from now, then I will just wait.

I know dealers are on here. Do you guys have any clue if more slicers are in the pike?

I haven’t heard anything, but my guess based on what I know is coming down the pipe (Full Tracks, Skinny XM18s, extending the triway pivot system across the line), my guess would be yes, but not anytime soon.

Been shopping for another XM myself and I might have saw some on DLT I’ll go check. Nvm only spantos

I’d like a XM-18 slicer flipper 20cv or M390 working finish gen 5 but alas only gen 5s I can find are sheepsfoot spearpoint and warnie all s35vn

Likely yes, but It could take some time. If I were you I would look on the exchange for one. They aren't there at all times, but do come up for sale.

The Gen 5 Sheepsfoot models have all been in 20CV so far. They’re a great run. Not sure if any are still available, though.

Conflicted on liking the blade or not but 20CV oh boy. If only it was on the spearpoints would get one :(

Seems like we’re getting more and more 20CV and M390 from Hinderer across different models lately. I’m sure they’ll come in time. Just a question of how much time. The waiting is the hardest part.

Love my Gen 5 sheepsfoot for sure. Great blade shape.

I heard that the non-flippers have weaker detents. Is that true? I like a strong detent.

Yes, they are tuned a bit lighter so that they can be more easily deployed with the thumb studs.
Exactly why I want one. Me and their flippers are done. But them non flippers look really good. If I am ever to find a keeper it will have to be non flipper. Wish I liked spantos. Just have zero use for a super thick pry bar of a knife. Kind of wish they would make a non flipper in either that sheeps foot or the wharny.

A non flipper 3” Wharnie or Sheepsfoot would definitely catch my attention. The 3.5” non flipper spanto actually kinda has its hooks in me. I typically go for super slicey knives, but after doing a sharpening job on one of these, I just...want it. For some inexplicable reason.

That’s my problem I don’t wanna wait. Wanting to get one now but the only things I can find are the scenario that you go “well it’s not exactly what I want but I’ll take it anyway” expamples being a gen 4 or 5 spearpoint or a XM-24 Skinny. You said a skinny XM-18 do you know if it would have a thinner blade too?

In one of the Blade Show videos, Rick said they were doing a run of Skinny XM18 3.5" Spantos. So yes, those would be 3.5" versions, but thinner, the same stock thicknesses as the 3" XMs. Not sure if they're doing more than Spantos for the run of Skinnys, he didn't say. I'm hoping for Skinny Slicers myself.

That’s sweet the 3” spantos aren’t that thick at all might get one depending on the options. Thanks for the info

XM-18,4 gen.,3 inch non flipper, slicer with either M390 or 20CV would be my favourite.
