HAHAHAHHAHHAA...I dont know, what weighs more, a pound of Infi or a pound of SR101?
I had the chance to handle a buddy's Spec Ed Steel Heart and it seems lighter than my Ratweiler or M6.
The ASH-1 SE is definitely a smaller knife than the RatWeiler. Not sure that is a good comparison on steel weight versus knife weight...I had the chance to handle a buddy's Spec Ed Steel Heart and it seems lighter than my Ratweiler or M6.

Nope... He's talking about Ironklad's ASH-1 he picked up at Blade. The HOFSH SE is WAY heavier than a RatWeiler. I have all 3 and held them last night.Of course, is he talking 'bout the Special Edition (Fusion) Steel Heart which mic's at .320" or the Special Edition (Anniversary) Steel Heart (One) which mic's @ 0.2255"??![]()

since the main constituents in most steels are Iron and Mg with some Chrome, the difference in their densities would be literally imperceptable to your hand.
what you are feeling is the balance of the blade. For example, my CG FBM feel heavier than my FBM LE, yet it is in fact lighter, but the balance point is out further on the knife so it feels heavier.
