I just got in a trade, a nice little Kothimora. 12 inches long with decent engraving and inlay along the Sword of Shiva. The scabbard has nice silver work with crossed Khukuris in the upper half and a peacock in the lower half. This is on a red velvet background.

It looks brand new.

Can anybody tell me about this one?
Value?

Thanks

If it doesn't have the Go Ha logo stamp, it probably wasn't sold by Gurkha House, which usually sells only the 15" size with kothimora fittings. The crossed khukuris/peacock design is fairly standard for contemporary kothimoras; I imagine it came from the Khukuri House. Smaller versions don't seem to be in as much demand as larger ones - I'd guess value to be in the $100 - $115 range. Hope this helps, [especially with typos edited out

hey Roger,
khukuri house is the manufacturer for ghurkha house, they sell to several distributers around the world I believe. I'm pretty sure that's where it came from. enjoy!
