Is it a real Gayle Bradley?

So I just picked up this knife used on fleabay and wanted to see what the chances were that it was a real Gayle Bradley. It feels solid, locks up tight and weighs exactly 5.5 ounces like spiderco says it should. To me it looks like the real thing but I wanted to see what those who have handled the real thing thought.

Thanks for the input
Chad

Yup. Looks like a genuine Bradley to me.
I haven't heard of any fake Bradleys yet so there's a little more assurance for you.
Great knife, enjoy!

Good to know. The whole reason for buying it was to try some CPM-M4 steel and I would hate to find out later that it's some knockoff in 440a or something. Once I give it a workout I guess I'll find out pretty quick. I have a Delica in ZDP-189 that I love and wanted to test edge holding against the M4 and a few other fixed blades I have in D2, 52100, and 1095.

You'll probably end up getting hooked to the stuff, like me. M4 is probably one of my top, if not the top steel on my list.
Nice knife, by the way. And welcome to the forum, fellow Arizonan. :)

Oh, and if you really want to see if it's real go cut some pickles and step away from a minute or two :p

It's definitely real. Look at the contrast in color between the blade and the liners, among other things. Also, I didn't know they were faking these. But yeah, definitely real.

I haven't seen a fake Bradley yet. Looks legit to me, don't see anything off. Enjoy it, it is one of my favorites!

Thanks for the input all. Oh and I'm not looking to rush the patina Jibbles but that would be a quick way to rule out cheap no name stainless.

If it is, it looks just like the 2 I own. This particular knife has not been counterfeited (yet) to my knowledge. Stick to legitimate sellers and you won't have to worry about knock offs or clones. If you need to penny pinch, buy something in your budget or find another way to save. Saving a few bucks on a knife and finding out later it is a counterfeit costs more in time and energy, shipping back, frustration, etc than buying it right the first time.
Buy quality, cry once.

I've only seen fake southards, militaries, paramilitaries, delicas, and enduras so far.
