Is it common for the finish to look like this on benchmade knives?

are you talking about the grind lines? if so that is pretty common on their uncoated blades. benchmade generally doesn’t polish or stonewash blades after grinding them, with a few exceptions (the stonewashed ritter grips come to mind. most uncoated blades from them will show the grind lines like those to a greater or lesser degree

Ahh ok, thanks.

Even tho I wish they weren't there, I feel better knowing they're all like that. If I can't have grind line free steel: NOBODY can!

honestly on a edc knife why bother going any further for finishing as its only asthetic and will not affect performamce. More finishing will mean more cost for the buyer.

Id be cool with paying a little more. Would be a great extra option. Mirror finishes, a love it or hate it thing, I find very sexxy

I actually love that look! Always assumed it was purposeful.
I guess alot of people do, since the company is so popular

I like the look of mirror finished blades but even my expensive edc knives with satin finishes show a ton of wear. I cant imagine carrying a mirror polished edc.
