Hi All,

Like the title says... I just dont see any smaller blades available anywhere I have looked in the classifieds and on the various bussy brotherhood sites. maybe i am missing something.

smaller like 3inch or there abouts.

thanks for any directions as long as they are in the right direction . :p

Hello Arfropubes.

A couple of tips for ya. :)

1.) It's Busse. plural is typically "Busse's". ;) Pronunciation is BUS-SEE (rhymes with fussy).
2.) We usually frown on threads that hint on buying in this discussion forum, but no worries, I edited your title a bit.
3.) 3 inch bladed models are Game Wardens, SAR3's, and a few others...close but a tad longer are Active Duty's. Hey, folks, please fill in the gaps for this guy...I'm a bit tired! :D Search the Exchange. the link is at the top of the main Busse forum page. Also, try opening a thread in the Knives: Wanted To Buy sub-forum of the Exchange (Not to be confused with the Busse/Swamp Rat/Scrapyard Exchange...please DO NOT list a WTB in there. :))

ETA: Also, the Cultellus, AKA "Culti" is around 3-3.5". long in blade length. :)

It is not difficult at all. Plenty of these smaller types are always being listed. However, you should do your homework to find what you want at a fair price.

Good Hunting!

LOL, no worries, mate! :) We were all new once, know what I mean?

ETA: BTW, has anyone pointed you to www.hogcult.com or www.bussecollector.com? They are two sites with lots of info on Busse models, including original pricing and states on size, combo options, pix, etc. Check 'em out! :)

What classifieds? if you google any model, it comes back with half the queries being bladeforums related etc- but just as indicated above- troll the exchange- specifically the sub-forum within the exchange that is dedicated to Busse/Swamp/Scrap Yard. The link is on top of the Busse forum page-the very top- just gotta look. Be patient and watch the exchange- any given time there are a few smaller 3" blades- ie, Sar3, Active Duty, Game Warden, and there are literally a hundred variations of each-given different coatings and handle materials- so you just have to look out for what you might like and pull the trigger quickly if it is a fair deal-cuz it will be gone otherwise. Check out the RS from the swamp... thats a fantastic small blade-worth every penny.

CR33,

by classifieds i mean the the buy and sell sub forum you mention.
see some real beauties in there but most all have been snatched up.
gotta say some people must have a lot of money based upon the size of some folks collections.

There is a thread on the exchange now with several dozen small ones listed. Always remember.
"The more you pay the more its worth!"

At the top of the Busse forum you will see a link for the "Busse / Swamp Rat / Scrapyard Knives For Sale" sub-forum. That would be the best place to look for Busse / Kin knives. You can also find that same sub-forum linked in the Exchange under the "For Sale: Production Knives (Individual)" forum.

Spend some time looking around in the different areas of the Forums here and you will discover all of these forums / sub-forums and where they are located. Some times it makes sense, some times not so much. We've all learned to live with the way it is and find things quickly.

Good luck.

If you get them directly from busse this is true, but with some of the dealers on bladefourms this is not always true.

there are custom smaller ones in the very expensive category, but at the trough, no meaners or active duties or boss streets.. quite a few SLUTS and custom jobies, but $$$$$$ I was able to pick up two High streets.. those will work :)

Great site and resource, but it's not LVC's.

My bad... :o

Is it CQCBlades (Greg) and FatFog’s site with credits to: mikeymoto, LVC and some help from various HOGS?

Or is it someone else’s altogether?

My apologies and I’ll edit my post; thanks for letting me know.

Edit: it sure is a great site, and I appreciate the site-owner and all those who contributed (and to Busse of course)! The page is one click away from me via my favorites bar on my homepage…

It was started by member Busse Collector. That guy later changed his screen name, might be CQCBlades. I think someone else maintains it now, not sure who.
