Is it difficult to remove the pocket clip on the large Insingo?

I took down the large Insingo today for general tuneup, and decided to remove the pocket clip as well. The screw came out fine, but I wasn't able to remove the clip from its groove/socket - no matter how hard I try to pull it. I also tried using a flathead screwdriver to pry it out, but to no avail. It is as if the clip is glued in there with gorilla glue. I don't think this is normal, since the one on my small sebenza came out nice, but wanted to check here. I put some scratches on the ti slabs due to my efforts. Here is a pic:

It is normal. Just keep pulling up on it slightly and pushing it down. Just do this over and over and it will pop out. The tolerances are so tight and with the grittiness of the sandblast, it makes it feel " glued in " as you said. But rest assured this is the norm, especially the first few times you may take it out. I have had sebbies over the years just like this, and have also had them fall right out when the screw was removed.

You are definitely not alone in this. I have had a couple Sebenzas in the past where the pocket clip is tough to remove the first few times taking it off. I use to carry all my smalls in a sheath so i would always take the clip out and put an insert in. In my experience just using the allen key under the clip and pulling up against the scale is enough to pop them off if the fit is very tight. You may want to use a small cloth or something to guard the scales from being scratched. I am curious to see what other people's solutions have been as well. I'm sure there are more out there who have experienced this as i've had at least a few knives come through my hands with tight clips. As anything with CRK goes however, when in doubt you can contact customer service, they are absolutely second to none.

I had the same issue and used the allen wrench that came with the knife the first time, this put a scratch in the finish, but I like the knife better with the clip and luckily it's under the clip so you can't see it. Since then I've used a bamboo japanese style chopstick to pry it off. If I ever send it in for spa treatment I might ask them to touch up the scratch.

You're not alone. First time I got a small Sebenza I removed the clip to see what it was like. Putting it back was such a pain. I finally managed to wedge it in there enough so that the screw would bite. Then, I began screwing it in while making sure the clip was aligned. The force from tightening down the screw pushed the clip into the recess.

I won't ever take a clip off unless completely necessary lol.

To remove the clip I put a cord through the clip to the end and throw hard. And does not bend.

Greetings.

I always use the hex key to pry it up, just be careful. Stick it in where the recess is and gently lift it up, gently.

Yup same here. I haven't taken the clip off the 25 yet, but I expect it will be a pain as well. I think I actually posted about it, but I think I asked in a thread I already had going. In any case, be careful guys. I'm sure most, if not all of you know this, but the clip is also titanium. I don't believe it has the strength of spring steel.

You, sir, have the most elegant solution. I used a internal strand of the 550 paracord, strung it through the clip, pinned the knife ends down with thumb of my leg and left hand, and jerked the right hand holding the string - and the clip popped out!

Here is a photo explaining this technique:

My earlier efforts have left some battle scars on the clip and the scale, but I guess that's the part of owning a knife.
