Is it just me or do a lot of Benchmade's

They have about as much variety as any other quality company. Not sure what you want

They do. I happen to like the Benchmade look. Spydercos look similar too. I like that look as well.

Spyderco knives look more alike than benchmades do. I think CRKT has the most variance.

all knives look alike, handles and blades. etc.

I don't find them similar, sure they use a lot of G-10 and aluminum and axis locks etc.

could we get something more, for example why you think they look alike?

I agree with Mongomondo. Benchmade has as much variety as any company. That being said, there's nothing wrong with a company having a "Look" to their knives, especially if the look is the result of functionality and ergonomics.

You can instantly tell a Spydie at a mere glance due to the blade shape and of course the hole. It could be argued that all their knives look more alike than BMs.

A look is a great marketing tool. You instantly know a Mercedes, a Cadillac, and a Harley Davidson so those companies realize the value of recognition.

A lot of benchmade knives do look similar but to me most of the similar ones are designed by the same maker. Since they have plenty of different maker's designing they also have plenty of variety when looking through their catalog. Benchmade is one of the only brand of knives that I will buy other than a custom.

I think that Benchmade does have some knives that look alike and whenever I handle a Benchmade I know that it is a Benchmade except the Dejavue that kinda reminds me of a Spyderco but Benchmade they have a feel of there own and I like the majority of their designs and Spyderco being my favorite company as of right now and they have a feel and look all their own and CRKT does have the most variance but a consequence is that there are some designs that I like and a number that I do not.

I think certain companies have a certain style of knives that make you able to tell what they are, they are some exceptions in their knives though. For example a lot of Spydercos have the wide leaf blade shape and a handle with bumps and choils. IMO Benchmade makes more narrower blades with straighter handles.

The AFCK also looks like a Spyderco.

Yeah the Grip and Mini Grip look pretty similar, lol
I agree with the above posts that they have about as much variety as almost any other company
