Is it just me, or does they brown sprint run calypso look a lot like a police with a lanyard hole??

Only in pictures. In person it's slim and svelte and purposeful.
The Calypso is a very early Sal design and it's aesthetic predates most Spyderco models. As such it sort of looks like it has the seeds of many other Spydercos to me. It is slimmer than you would think and not tactical at all, not fast to deploy, can't be flipped, not prybarish. The feel is sort of like a high quality and smaller fruit knife and it would certainly excel at slicing fruit or food prep type activities. I love it but it's probably not quite what you would expect from a picture and some words on the internet.
