Is it just me or does anyone else find John's knives are very easy to to get really sharp ?

I spent ages yesterday sharpening one of my Swamprat knives and although it cut better it was still quite poor ( being 1/4" thick doesn't help ).

Anyway as I had my stuff out I figured I'd convex the edge on my TTSK, I was amazed how quickly I got this thing crazy sharp, even after just the most course sandpaper it was scraping hair and cleanly slicing post it's. By the time I'd finished it was causing hairs to fly off my leg faster than a Gillette Mach3.
My JK Hiker also gets sharp very easily.

Anyway a little pic of my newly touched up old faithfull~

I like that patina a lot. Yeah, my Ewok is the easiest to sharpen IMO. It has micro serrations like crazy, must be the 1095. Doesn't feel sharp but it can bite ya pretty good, trust me :(.

Hi pit -

I do get great results sharpening my JK's - all of mine are 01.

I have had great results when I chop with my JK's as well, the only knife I ever really effected and edge on was the little scandi passaround knife.

I have really abused my Kephart, and it has never rolled or chipped.

Nice picture - thanks for posting.

best regards -

I STILL want one of those knives. Great pic. Most of my JKs are sharp as hell. I don't care about shaving sharp, toothy sharp is more my speed.

They get a great working edge really easily and keep it a long time. What more can you ask for?

I hope other people realize how good JKs knives are,he's talking about closing up shop. Not enough orders I guess.
