is it just mine or do all BK4s come dull near the bottom of the blade?

Hi guys
I was just wondering if anyone else's BK4 came dull? is there a reason for this? my BK9 came razor sharp
I'm going to use my work sharp to try and get it razor sharp

I can take it off your hands if it's malfunctioning.
The warranty probably even states to send your malfunctioning knife to me..lol

Almost all of my Beckers (including my machax) came pretty dull. IMHO, it really isn't a requirement that knives come sharp from the factory. With Ka-Bar putting out so many knives from the factory its hard to expect a perfect edge on every one.

Sharp but not razor sharp.
I use mine as a chopper so I don't put a razor edge on it anyway.
What's the name mean.

I've gotten them both ways, too. When I questioned my uneven grind (huge bevel on one side, hardly touched on the other) I was told that the knives get sharpened by a human, one at a tiime. Guess every so often you get the guy who had a bad night before!

that standard grind is what? 220 grit?

not dull, not razor sharp. they're finished by hand, so sometimes things may vary a little
