Hey all... I was just pondering something, i love knives and i love to collect them... I recently got attracted to automatics... I was wondering if it legal to collect automatics in washington state? I know the knife laws that it's illegal to carry/ possess, but is it illegal to collect them and have them in my display case? Another question is about the whole interstate commerce thing.... how does that all work? if i wanted to buy one if allowed to from another state? Thanks everyone for your responses in advance...

Well without a warrant who is to know you have them displayed in your house? :) Not sure how far a drive you are from Oregon, but it's a very automatic friendly state. From what I remember the gun shows have a number of knife vendors.

Portland oregon is only a two hour drive! But my worry is, will they ask for id from oregon in order to purchase one? lol, where are all the oregonians?

You should look up your state and city statutes on these things, it might be easier and safer than speculation.

The answer is, unless you are active duty military or LEO, even owning them is illegal.

Well, looks like its just Spyderco's and Chris Reeve's for me! I just got a Wilson Combat edition Chris Reeve's Starbenza in the mail a week ago, so that's good enough to satisfy me for a while!!! Thanks everyone for their responses!
