Is it me? or are the molle clips for the 6 with just 1 placement?

Hi. Ah..I went out today to field test my 6, ( I had already played with it a bit) but I was going into the woods. I cliped the 6's sheath to my belt, and it was riding quite high.!! The molle clips only have one place to screw them on. Trust me I tryed every way but sideways.! But when I went to lower the sheath, or move the molle clips up (same thing) the molle hings were up against the molded fitting for the handle, so I tryed one more hole down, and only one screw would fit in the sheath. Do I have the right molle clips? Or do I need to drill a hole in the sheath to make it lower. (you should be able to see the green marks I made where the holes should be?) Or I just have the wrong clips? I could drill holes and put copper/brass for added hole stability, but lets see if I'm not messin things up? Thanks in advance for your help. Edgy.

I bought the metal clip and use that. Anyone who sells ESEE sheaths should carry those also, I think it's about $12.

for belt the molle clips just dont work very well on the 6, paracord works much beter. but the best of all is the molle back with pouch. that puts the handle down lower and alittle further away from the body which i like for that size knife.

here is a pic in the sheath

Hey thanks cricketdave. Thats what I want.!! So I ask/or look for "molle back with pouch? if thats it? I will order it tomarrow. Its perfect. Thanks again..Enjoy.. Edgy:thumbup:
I owe ya one.:D

AHHHH dang it. I think I just screwed up an order??? I went to a site, won't say name to be polite. And I ordered the " Esee5-6 Accessory pouch" it was shown with a lower hanging sheath. Did I just mess up? or do I need to order the "Back" with the pouch? I made my Acc pouch order as it was shown as having a higher loop for a lower carry. So did I just put a #8 hardened one into the pooch? Thanks.. Edgy...

yep you need to order the back as well. i usually order direct from esee.com
but you were gonna want the pouch anyways.

I had a similar time with my 3 and the molle clips. From all the different holes you would think you had tons of options. But things only really want to match up nicely one or two ways.

Ha OK all is well now. I looked at T K C and sent them an E-mail. Dale even called me at home (can't ask for better service than that!) and I got the right back for my 6. So I'm happy now:D He even put a link in my e-mail, so I would not screw up again.! Told ya there are really cool people here. Thanks Dale. and everybody else that helped out. (I don't know why a more adjustable molle is made to start with????) Enjoy. edgy

I solution to the high riding was to fit the clips so as the hinges were on the locking part of the sheath as you described, screw on the lower holes and use zip ties to a attach the top of the clips thus providing enough flex to allow the knife to be drawn.
Pics to follow when I've dug out my camera.
