Hey guys, Well I got my first Benchmade, the 707BK Sequel from New Graham Knives, and I'm loving it.. But I notice that there is a little blade play.. Nothing big, I can fix it up by tightening the Torx screw thing, right? But Is it normal to have blade play with axis lock knives? Thanks!

Try tightening up the pivot screw a bit (it really doesn't take much to make a difference) and see if it gets rid of the play. Also make sure all of the other screws are tight in the handle. Otherwise send it into BM and they'll fix you up right

Just tighten the pivot a little. I have several knives with the axis lock and none of them have blade play. Go slow on the pivot because a little turn goes a loooong way. After that you will just why the axis lock is such a great lock. Just watch your fingers when you start flipping it open and closed.

If the play is side to side or horzontal, tighten the torx screw. If it is up and down or vertical, send it back.

Thanks guys! Hehe, MS3902 that Axis lock is really cool, a few times befor closing the knife i find my fingers in the path..
