Is it normal for the blade to wear out the locking bar surface?

As far as I can tell it has been like this since I got the knife. Which supposedly had a fresh refurb done at the factory before I got it. A couple months ago I noticed this wear, but I don't know if it's normal or not. It isnt just a slightly different color. It is actually a very shallow depression where the blade rides. I can feel it very slightly while opening but it definitely doesn't have any effect on the knife. Is this something I should get repaired? Do they all do this eventually?

Would I be right in thinking that this wear would never actually have a noticable effect on the knife? It could affect how far in the lock bar is while the blade is opening, but theres no reason that would be an issue. The whole point of the design is that the extremely slow wearing of the surfaces that contact when fully opened means there will always be a tight lockup until it enough material is removed for the lockbar to touch the opposite scale.

Yes, this is normal. The blade is alot harder than the Titanium ( even the color case hardened Titanium ) at then end of the lockbar. So there is going to be wear to an extent. Unless your having blade play issues, there is no worry at all........ I have owned over 30 sebenzas and have Never, I repeat NEVER had ANY Blade Play Issues of Any kind, even with lockbars that look like yours and worse.

I noticed this after a few months of carry. Mine looks the same, a bit worse to tell you the truth.

Going on 2 years now and there has been zero problems. If blade play ever develops I'll send it in. But until then I'm not worried about it.

I had to send a small Sebenza back for lock adjustment last year due to wear.

The knife was much used, fifteen years old. :D Your knife is great, the pic is normal. Enjoy your knife and use it. :)
