Looking forward to our Michigan Gathering in October, need to hang out with guys for a change!
 
By then I'll be starting to get my Social Security checks, so it will be time to celebrate! Even if I'm not still making knives by then we can still have fun.

Not that I can this October...but what is the gathering?

October is end of wildfire season and my last chance at a black-tailed buck...then bear season.
 
Should I bring that Kershaw Camp 18 again??? That was fun!

Does anyone want to try a different location?

Nothing wrong with the one we have been going to, but there has to be other places to check out...

any thoughts on dates? it's a long shot for me with my hiking trip and hunting, but i'll put my good eye on it....
 
I am going to be out of country for the first full week and a couple days of October - but don't plan around me....

What do you think of Potato Creek in South Bend Indiana? They have cabins.

I am willing to tent camp also if we want to do that -

As long as we are not close to other camp sites I'm good with anywhere. We do tend to get a bit loud sometimes.
 
Only until 3am, then it quiets down a bit.

Several people have expressed an interest in keeping the Gathering at the South Fork Cabin. As for the date, I'd like to make the reservation for the last week of October (10/30 - 11/1). Thoughts?

Psyched to see a different date. No hiking! but, then i read the new date, and i am heading to Ohio for my first ever bow hunt. psyched for that, but bummed i will miss the gathering yet again. carry on gentlemen.
 
Actually that weekend does not work for me, granddaughters birthday, schedule it whatever works best for the majority.
