Hey Blade forums I have a few safe queens in a storage case with silica packets thrown in but I have a couple of Ka-Bars with leather sheaths I’m going to put in there. Is it ok to store the leather sheaths in the case even if there is no blade in the or does it attract moisture?

if they are knives I use regularly I don't hestitate to store them with the leather as long as they are wiped down ... both the knife and leather from time to time.

If it's something I rarely use I store it wiped down but in an area with a dehumidifier or desiccant packets ... and I don't store leather in thise areas so the leather won't dry out.

Placing leather in a safe with guns is asking for corrosion issues. Leather absorbs and holds moisture like a sponge. All it takes is one humid day for the leather to pick up moisture and then tossing it into the safe. I have seen guys wind up with a safe full of rusty guns because they stored leather or cardboard boxes in their safe. I always store leather goods (and ammo) outside of the safe.

Depends on the proximity; leather can absorb moisture and that can lead to rust unless the blade is treated with a good rust preventive. I seal all my leather sheaths, belts, etc. with SnowSeal so they don't absorb any moisture and have had no problem.

I have plenty it leather in my safe. But I do have a dehumidifier in there too. (Plug in heat stick). If the steel is not indirect contact you should be fine. Many of my knives I keep in leather sheaths and slips, but they get carried and used, and looked at enough I'm not worried. If it is a high end custom, and you are concerned about keeping it a safe queen, keep it separated.
