Is it Possible that the Anorexic Boss Streets will come back?

A few thoughts on these little blades:

(Thanks for the picture, it's not mine obviously :P)

From what I've heard, and it makes perfect sense, they were incredibly popular blades. LCABS, SCABS, CABS...that's all of them right?

I know a variation was offered at bladeshow this year, but do you think they will ever be offered again?

I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one that thinks these things are a must have. Right guys?

Also when they came out in 2010 (was it?) they were priced in the low $200s? I know I saw a used satin-with-black G-10 go for a similar price a month or so ago. People were posting "seconds", "thrids", "fourths", etc..

Do you think the custom shop could do one for a reasonable price?

Also, was talking with someone the other day, isn't the Boss Street like a sized down Boss Jack? Was that the intention?

That's all I got, I just want to start a conversation I guess. : )

Anything is possible they say. I'm pretty sure the price of the Anorexic Boss Street LEs ( Satin/Black Paper) when offered was right at $300 hence the 2nds,3rds,4ths on the one on the exchange. The coated Boss Streets were in the lower $200s. Hope this helps

The CABS is hands down my favorite knife. Note I didn't say my favorite Busse, I said favorite knife period. I just picked up another one this week in fact. It's such a great knife that I'd love to see Busse offer it periodically. I'd also really like a CBS...choiless boss street at .22". I like large choices on large knives, but the small unusable choils on some of the Busses drives me nuts and I just won't buy them.

Another knife I'd LOVE to see is a SOCABS...Son of CABS. I'm envisioning a CABS with about an inch taken out of it; somewhere around the SAR 3 size. That would be sweet!

I found a CABS LE on the exchange a year or so ago, definitely worth searching for in the aftermarket! Any flavor of the Boss Street is a great knife but the anorexic is at the top.

My favorite of the ABS was the SCABS or CABS. As much as I loved the AD and MNR the ABS took there place quickly. Hilt is better and blade shape is more usable for general task. IMHO this should have been the knife of focus more than the AMS. I think it should be offered in the .140" and a .200", satin and coated with the usual grip selection. Just my .02;) I would be in MAJOR favor and support a lengthy release of the ABS!!!

I'm pretty happy with my SCABS from Blade 14'……. :)

 Luv the CABS, They're razors! Here are my two along with a Pork Shank. The bottom one has custom black linen handles.

Thanks for all the pictures guys! Great comparison shots gusbuster and aaaa_cccc!

Maybe this will turn into a "Bring Back the Boss Streets" thread. hehe

That's a real thing right? If you get enough support Busse will pencil in a run of the knife you asked at some point in the future?

Like the Basic 8 people are doing here?

Things like CABS pop up every now and then at the knife shows...like Blade in ATL....it's one of the reasons people love attending and feel so bummed for missing out on the fun/opportunities. I scored a 1 of 5 CABS CG (1 of 5 in terms of color combo) at Blade a few years back.

While my SCABS doesn't say '1 of 5', it literally is one of roughly five that were offered at BladeShow 14'

It is surprising that one of the SCABS, CABS, Boss Street models is not a permanent fixture on their website. I think something like that would sell well. It is a very simple design that has extremely broad appeal (FAR broader than knives such as the Argonne Assault or Battle Mistress in my personal opinion). I have the Boss Street Proto (same as a SCABS, just thicker stock), a 2014 SCABS and a "1 of 5" CABS. I like them all and hope they do another run in the future.

My favorite would probably be the SCABS although I admittedly despise the tequila (BARF) colored handles, but I DO like that split-texture handle pattern which is not available from the custom shop at the moment in any alternate color. So, I can live with the Tequila because the knife otherwise is perfect!

Firstly, that "1 of 5" CABS is Beautiful.

Second, I agree with what you said, I think they could make room for something else. The SOB and the TGLB are AMAZING designs that might only stop selling when everyone has two or three, but there are a few like you mentioned (novelty knives) that could go to make room for something more practical, I'm nearly certain they'd be more popular.

I have a Proto that I got personally from Garth and Amy-0 many moons ago. I can't believe I drove 3 hours EACH WAY for that show. LOL Meeting Jaxx in person was awesome as well. Funny guy.

I find it heavy as heck. I've often been tempted to send it somewhere for a handle lightening. It is a great looking knife.
