Is it possible to adjust pocket clip tension without removing the clip?

I bent the pocket clip on my knife outward when it snagged on something, and it needs a special tool for the propriety screws.

Is there any way to adjust the clips back with pliers or something without removing the clip?

I've done it by pressing hard on the area where the clip is screwed to the scales while pulling on the other end. so the screws are not stressed badly.

I've loosened quite a few without removing, but never really got one back as originally tight without taking it off an grabbing in two locations.

It is my understanding that to get the clip to have any tension when flush with the scale, you'd have to bend it back further than flush (as in, in to the scale).

Torx screws? Just get the tool, bend slowly and check fit if you're not a fan of tight clips.

I don't like to own anything that I can't take apart. If a specific tool is required for me to take apart a knife I will buy that tool. If such a tool is not available to the public or if it is too expensive I won't buy a knife that requires such a tool.

Typically I find that a lot of pocket clips are too damn tight (maybe it's just me?) however, you should be able to contact the manufacturer and see what they recommend. It couldn't hurt.

I've had the same experience and had to remove it in order to get it back to original tightness. Odd thing is that I find many pocket clips to be too tight and I have to loosen them a bit, especially my Emerson blades.
