Is it possible to buy serrated blade (blade only) for Sebenza 21 small?

I'm pretty sure it is possible to buy a blade only side I've seen it done in the past. You'll have to send in your nifeworks to get the blade fitted though. I can't remember the cost but I do remember its not cheap.

In reply to my own question, per CR Knives: Yes, available, requires knife to be sent in for fitting, current TAT about 4 months, cost about $130.

4 months for a re blade? Come on CRK. I sent my 7 year old Benchmade 940 in for a re blade. Went from serrated 154CM to plain edge S30V. $25. Done in a week and they replaced all the screws, washers, etc.

I love my Sebbies, but the turn-around on some of this stuff is pretty bad.

The difference in size of shop and between Benchmade and CRK is very large. As a guy making a few knives myself, I don't find $130 to be horrific. I just bought 4 bars of cpm 3v and it came out to about $300. Yes that will make more then one knife however it's also a starting point before any kind of overhead, manpower and heat treating.

The difference between Benchmade and CRK is that Benchmade just gave you a run of the mill blade they had in stock, probably came out of a drawer with a bunch of other blades, had someone take apart your knife, put in a new blade, and then mail it back to you.

CRK hand tunes every knife for perfect fit between the blade/frame to make the perfect lock up, that is why they don't want people to go around blade swapping as a blade is made specifically for a frame. CRK will probably replace all your hardware too, and throw on a lanyard and cloth free of charge...they have excellent service.

Benchmade doesn't even cover return shipping, CRK covers return AND the original shipping cost - hows that for customer service?

I cannot vouch 4 months for a reblade...but I had inlays replaced on both sides of a mnandi and back into my hands within a month which is excellent considering Benchmade took just as long to replace the omega springs I had on a BM530.

It's a bit hard to argue about who pays shipping when paying $130 for a re-blade. CRK does have great service, but it's my opinion they're pretty slow on certain things. At the price they're charging, my expectation for a blade replacement is much less than 4 months. You're all welcome to your own opinions, of course.
