I think that would look heaps cool , but I'm not sure of the durability ? Also I'm a complete novice. Also what about is it called cerakote ?

I blued some stripes on my BK2 mod:

Cerakote is a ceramic based finish. Typically a spray and bake, there is also an air dry formula (be advised the air dry takes a while to fully cure...don't quote me on this, but I think it's almost a week)

Blueing the blade is pretty easy, just be sure to prep the blade thoroughly to remove all oils/fingerprints or any other contaminants that may cause the blue not to set in properly. The first time I blued a knife, i just followed the directions that came with package and it turned out pretty well.

Just a heads up as well... It's been said that gun blue is not safe to use on knives that will be used for food prep. I don't remember why exactly but something about the chemicals. Just putting that out there.
