Is it possible to sharpen convex edge on hard surface like spider o sharpmaker

Yes, but it would take longer then my attention span and I would stop and look for a better tool.

Yes. Its easy too , as long as you don't care about maintaining convexity :)
but like deadboxhero says, sharpmaker stones are very fine/high grit, so they're slow,
so if you're working on anything more than the very edge/apex, its going to be too slow

sharpmaker medium rods 12.5 +/- 1.0 micron or P1500 grit or J1200
sharpmaker fine rods 6.5 +/- 1.0 micron or P2500-P3000 or J2000-J2500

if you just microbevel with sharpmaker and forget about whether its convex or not, you can maintain sharpness for a long time

You could set the rods flat and scrub down the convex edge. It would look not nice cosmetically and the stones would load up some but it could be done. The contact area on most knives is likely not much more than what you'll get off the SM anyway, but will be a learning curve using it that way. Running radial Sharpie marks from spine to edge along the entire surface of the blade will be a big help to see where you're working.
