Is it possible to upgrade the 275 Adamas with the AXIS spring assist?

Hey all,

I purchased the 275 as an Army OSUT graduation present to myself around 8 months ago. I absolutely love the knife but I've been having trouble opening it with gloves on. Is there any way it can be "upgraded" to the spring assist version? I think that would solve my problem.

Thanks!

If you can't, see if the blade is heavy enough to where simply flicking your wrist will flick it open. My 810 is capable of that. If not, try using the lock itself, just hold it down and flick it open.

FYI.....There are numerous youtube review videos that show the reviewer flicking the blade open quite quickly. It's a technique of using your wrist.

There is no spring assist version of the 275. There is an automatic, the 2750, but the manual can't be converted to auto.

That being said, just pull the axis lock back and flick it open. It might take some adjusting of the pivot screw and a little bit of practice with your gloves on, but it can easily be done. I rarely touch the thumbstuds on my knives to open them, my wife's 275 included.
