This has been one of the coldest winters in the interior of Alaska in recent memories. Late winter and early spring is a great time to enjoy the out of doors . About a mile from where I live is the ice park where the International Ice Carving Championships are held.Due to the continued cold they are staying open for a week longer than normal.
Although I am a sculptor I do not get involved. The talent is amazing.
Check out the photos of the first place winners in the multi block category.

That's a very nice picture, thanks for sharing. But I have absolutely no desire to visit or live anyplace where "ice sculptures" last longer than a week. ;)

Spring is here in Northern New Mexico for sure. Could get a late-season snow storm or two, always happens. But the crocus are already done, daffodils are just starting to bloom, fruit trees are in full bloom, and tulips are all up. :)

well, I don't think its here yet. I am holed up down in my office in the basement. Was planning a sales trip out to western Kansas today, but being as how they are supposed to get 15 in. of snow, I think its time to get my paperwork caught up.
