Recently acquired this impressive Stockman 4 3/2" closed. I have a few of Stan's knives and some literature. The blades are marked for George Wostenholm for whom Stan worked in the late 60's. There is no cutler's mark but the filework, particularly Maltese crosses, is I believe unique to Stan. It's identical to 5 others in my collection. As I understand only Ibbersons allowed Stan to mark his work with the distinctive SS-?? So would anyone agree this is most likely one of Stan's

Thanks for any info.

We have what appears to be an identical knife. It is Wostenholm marked. We purchased it along with several Shaw marked knives. We were told that it was also made by Mr. Shaw. The gentleman we purchased it from, visited and purchased knives from Mr. Shaw directly. It was probably some time in the 1980s that we purchased these knives.
