Is it strange that I prefer the Ti-Lock over the Sebenza??

So I just got my hands on the only Chris Reeve folder I didn't already own, the Ti-Lock. I wasn't expecting much, to be honest, because of everyone talking about how it was more of a "concept" folder and such. The fact is, this knife has a far superior blade/handle ratio, is SMOOTH as glass, and I have no trouble opening or closing one-handed. The blade shape is also superior, I think. The ONLY thing I don't prefer over the Umnum or Sebenza with it is the pocket clip (functionally, not aesthetically) due to the "extra step" in having to open the clip to insert it into the pocket. Anyone else out there have this epiphany or not understand why the Ti-Lock isn't more discussed or popular?

I enjoyed playing with it the short time I had it. You can swap the clip with one from a Sebenza.

Oh man...Atony. I just swapped it out. How much fun is that!! This may be the perfect EDC now. I will provide an update after some time of use.

I wish I could have said this as eloquently as you have. I'm in total agreement as to everything that you said. IMHO The Ti-Lock is in another league above the Sebenza and the Umnumzaan.

Preference probably. I handled one and while nice I liked seb just a tad more.

The looks isnt my style as well.

I purchased one recently and really like it, but its just to pretty to carry. What I like most about it though is the stone washed finish in the frame!! I would love to have a Sebenza with the same finish! Am I the only one who thinks this shoul be an option for CRK? Wow a 25 with all Stone washed finish and silver thumb studs!! Thats what im talking about!! ;)

I too acquired a ti not long ago. It is a great knife, though to me not a 21 or Zaan, just a different flavor. The handle seems a bit short to me. Also I wouldn't want to cut food with it as the lock bar could easily get gunted up. I actually like the pocket clip on it. Just one of those things that make it different from other CRKs. I do carry mine every no and then, but my large 21 always seems to find it's way back into my pocket.

I just received my first one last week, I had handled one at a show a few years ago but really couldn't warm up to it, even thou I am a fan of Grant & Gavin Hawk and have owned there customs in the past. But after playing with it for a few days I have to say I'm liking it a lot. I have mastered opening it one handed but I'm still working on the closing part. The blade to hand ratio is awesome as mentioned in an earlier post, when holding it the blade looks larger than 3.25" It carries very nice in the small CRK leather slip pouch. All and all I don't think it could knock the Sebenza off the top of my all time favorite knife ever produced. It truly is an engineering marvel to build a knife with all the working parts located on the outside of the knife, think about it!:thumbup::thumbup:

The Ti-Lock is an amazing knife. I just traded mine away last week for a deal I couldn't pass up, but I plan to buy one again. I absolutely loved it, great size, blade to handle ratio, pretty close to a perfect EDC for me.
