Sometimes I feel so lonly...... The "WORLD FAMOUS 110" gets all the glory. You can order a stunning 110 with many options.Even special project 110s come in many, many, oh so many configurations compared to 112s.Yet in my heart of hearts I belive the 112 is farily close to the 110 in popularty with Buck collectors and the general public too..Its ben in Bucks line up for35 YEARS!!!!!!!!!!! Look at all the intrest JUST A BLADE SWAP to BG 42 drew...Every post in this forum about 112s has been postive....Now that Buck is setteled in up at Post Falls is it time for a Custom Shop 112 ? I VOTE YES!!

Oooo, thems fightin' words :D

I would be curious to know yearly production numbers of each model!
Just watching prices around of collector knife values (auctions and sales at shows etc..) I would say the 110 is quite a bit more popular, but thats just me!
However... I wouldn't be against seeing a custom shop 112 ;) I would rather see that than the alpha really....

I like 112s, but there are a lot of nice 109s out there(if you have enough Franklins). There have been a few nice 112s lately, and a BCCI release in the upcoming newsletter. I don't think the 112 has quite the following, as does the 110.

Wait! Did you guys get a 112 BG-42 blade swap going at Buck while I was gone, or did you just talk about it here?

......Nope...No BG-42 blade swaps for 112's...:(...Actually ya can't get get BG-42 as a blade swap for the 110's anymore either...There sure are a lotta guys waitin' in the wings with "pre-packaged" 112's and 110's all ready to get to the post office just in case they change that policy though...LMBO...:D...Like me...:p

young grasshoppers will learn sooner or later...

Yes, yes, yes, please!
Customshop 112s would be a great idea!
I love 110's and i know i will buy a custom shop 110 next year but what i really want is a custom 112FG!
If custom 112s were already available i would be holding one right now instead of just thinking about getting a custom 110 "soon".

Even if there were only LIMITED options for a custom 112 could it be profitable for Buck???? Id give 100.00 for Sv30/BG42,FG,and any premim wood.....

methinks one of these will cost you more than that....maybe, depending, but whaddo I know...:o

Kinda off topic but does anybody here know if Buck still offers the blade swap service for 110s?

A 112 custom in the same price range as the custom 110 for the same specs (blade steel/grip material/bolsters etc) seems reasonable to me. I would buy one!

This would be a BIG!!! desicion for Buck to make...I guess Buck would have to look long and hard at any changes to the custom shop...Many Buck collectors would want added there favorit model.....Thank God Buck really does care about us !! Mabe the answer is a change in the way Buck does there LEs. If a run of 100 or so can be done with a reasonable profit by Buck as a special project, How about doing15-25 per year It sure would stirr up a LOT of Intrest....

I was just wondering about this...I vote "YES!"

Speaking of BG-42 blade swaps...were these available at one time for the 112? I recall seeing BG-42 112s on the exchange once, but I was too slow. :(
