The last few weeks I've been thinking about my job and housing situation. I have a nice part time job that may or may not go full time in a few weeks. I'm wondering if I should try for a full time Position or just change jobs. And if I change jobs should I look for a job in Ephraim (11 minutes south of Spring City where I'm from) and move there.

Ultimately I want to go to college part time, work part time and do some leather working and camping. So I'm looking at ways to acomplish this. I have friends and family here. And my mom down in Spring City along with a few friends but most are not close to my age. There is Snow College that I went to so if I went to Ephraim I'd take some classes there.

There are plenty of places to go camping and shooting here. Though some take time to drive. Down in Ephraim since it's a small valley with less people things are closer and it takes less time to get to the camp sites and the ones with in walking or biking distance of town are free.

So I'm trying to deside what to do. Plus I need to figure out what major I want to do. Do I get my generals some place then do something in the Computer field or in Parks and Recreation/Forest Service doing park/trail maintanence. Thats what I'm leading towards. Or possibly park ranger.

I've got lots of things to think about in the next few weeks. I wonder which course I'll deside. Which ones would you guys do? Thanks for listening,

Heber

That's a tough call given the current economical situation, Heber. Steady work is always welcome. However, if you have the support system in place, it sounds like you would have a better time following your dreams elsewhere. I guess that is what it comes down to for many of us. Going the easy route, or doing what might make us truly happy even if we might fail getting there.

in other words....man, i dunno:D

I almost always approach decisions like this with the following in mind.

Take the path that will make you the most happy, with the least regret.
the path of least resistance usually is also the least fullfilling.
Follow the dream.

what do i know though? I'm just an old hardhead.

Follow your dreams ...its better to have tried and failed than to live a life of regrets.

Heber, just a few questions that I've used now for a very long time to help me make decisions that can/could affect both me and my family...

First - What are you willing to give up to get what you want? Meaning myself.

Second - Which decision will best help me to be what and who I say I am?

Third - How important is this decision for me an my family and to our well being?

They've always helped me make the right decision and they may work for you as well.

Great Advice.

Guys, thanks so much for the suport. Still have not desided what I'm going to do, still have lots of research to do. Though I have ruled out going back for my computer degree at this time. Thinking Parks and Recreation, Recreation Management or Forest Service.

I'm going to my mom's house this evening and coming back Monday afternoon. Going to relax, hang with some friends and recharge so I can better deside what to do with my life finantially and school wise. Thanks again,

Heber

Keep us posted with whatever you do, Heber. We are here for you:) The parks service would be a fantastically rewarding career. You know, when i was younger I really wanted to get into that field. It didn't pan out, but maybe i can live vicariously through a guy exactly my age on the other half of the country;)

Good luck!
