I have a very new Spyderco, Bob Lum Ti Tanto.
The linerlock goes almost all the way to the right. Now, there is no blade play, but I know it can't be too far away. Should I send it in for "preventative maintenance" ?
I would really like to send it in, it would make feel better when using this knife.
thanks, Ed

Liner locks will wear in a bit as you use them and with yours, it might be enough to induce up and down play in the open position. Go ahead and send it in, for your peace of mind

Hi Pergatory. I think I would wait to see if play develops. (sorry Dex). There is a certain amount of "spring tension" that is built into a linerlock. Whether or not it wears enough to create vertical play is the question, not how far over it goes.
