I am interested in getting one of his survival knives. Are there any around or is he still taking orders?
Thanks

As far as I know, I exchanged email with him in may of last year about his knives. At that time he was in the process of getting a website up. Since then I have discussed his blades with a couple of people who have recently bought them, I had assumed new.

Hollow:

I talked with a collector about 7 weeks ago who asked me about Jack. He told me he received his knife in 27 days. Of course the fact that he was a LEO may have helped.

A word of advice, DO NOT SEND HIM ANY MONEY. Do not send a deposit. If he says the knife is done and wants payment, ask him to email you a picture of the knife with a current days newspaper.

Jack has had a "few" problems in the past.

Hello there,
I am the one who spoke with Less about Jack.
He is still making knives. He said that he is only going to make 20 knives a year. I would listen to Less and pay by credit card. He was not going to do this with me but I got him hooked into Paypal.
That way if somthing does happen you could get your money back. As far as a bad transaction I have nothing negative to say about him. He quoted me 30 days and delivered in 27 days. Others have had problems with delivery times. He also paid my shipping. He seems to be a nice enough guy.Although others have had bad experiences with him. He does give LEO prefrance. I do not know what normal delivery times are.
Good luck.

Matt

One thing with the technology of today it is quite simple to manipulate a photo of a knife and a scan of a current newspaper. Its amazing what can be passsed off as current scans now a days. Just a thought that you might want to come up with a better way to authenticate any deal you think might not be above board, especially in leiu of what I have heard about Jack Crain.
